The office of NEPTUNE is located in Leeuwarden. The office serves as NEPTUNE's permanent secretariat, carrying out all of the coordinating
activities related to that task. These activities include:
- advising and supporting partners in organizing projects
- budgetary control
- promotional activities
- networking with partners and prospective partners
- initiating new activities
- publishing NEPTUNE E-news which contains articles about projects, information about partners and new developments.
Experience in the field of internationalization
NEPTUNE was founded on the initiative of the Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden, School of the Built Environment.
The location of NEPTUNE's office in this institution makes it possible to benefit from the institutions facilities,
as well as from the lecturers' knowledge, expertise and experience in project-based learning and internationalisation.
The international team is responsible for all aspects of internationalization. What is more, the NHL University of Applied Scineces, School of the Built Environment was among those who initiated the foundation of EUROconnect, a European consortium for MSc courses in traffic and transportation engineering.
