The International Projects are organized in turn by the partner universities and coordinated by NEPTUNE.
Partner universities are clustered in so-called circles. Each circle is formed by fixed groups of five member universities. Once a year, each circle organizes a project, in which six students from each member university can participate. The place of venue is one of the participating universities. Thus, each partner organizes a project at its home institution only once every five years. During the other four years, the members each send a supervisor to oversee one group of students during the project.
Each circle focuses on a different aspect of fields related to the built environment, such as: building technology, civil engineering and transportation, ecology, environmental impact of water management, environmental management, mobility and the environment. New aspects are chosen in consultation with the new partners joining a circle.
