The NEPTUNE concept

project based learning
The NEPTUNE concept is based on the method of project-based-learning. Our philosophy is that learning should be an active, constructive and self-directing process.

One of the major aims is that students learn to combine knowledge and skills and that they learn to work together with students from other nationalities and disciplines. To make this possible, NEPTUNE was founded in 1993.

process of international co-operation
The NEPTUNE concept takes shape in our NEPTUNE Projects, where we offer students a learning environment where they can work in an expert team of students.
Important in these teams is that students experience the process of international co-operation. They develop skills to communicate and skills to make a product by combining the expertise of the students in a team: Best Practise. In practising these skills, students improve their linguistic abilities and learn to cross language barriers.

intensive learning environmentThe concept of project-based learning has numerous advantages and achieves results that differ from those of the more traditional approaches to learning. The projects offer an intensive learning environment in which the students form the central focus, and the lecturers coach them through the process and act as supervisors.
